Tibetan Acu-Sound Therapy ™

Tibetan medicine was created by Buddhists in Tibet and is a combination of the Ayurvedic healing and many other types of Chinese medicine. Tibetan medicine works on balancing the alignment of energies

Our sense of ‘hearing’ is the first to develop when we are a foetus and the last to go when we pass on. Sound healing has been used for thousands of years.

Sound healing is a therapeutic application of sound frequencies to the body and mind, to bring harmony and balance to our health. Sound healing really works because nothing is solid, everything is vibrating and the perfect tones of the bowls and tuning forks are able to travel through the body and energetic fields with ease.

What is Tibetan Acu-Sound Therapy good for?
Increases the flow of energy (Qi) in and around the body
Reduces joint pain and any swelling (by increasing natural anti-inflammatory compounds)
Opens energetic pathways, bringing in balance and relief of pain
Relaxes muscular tension
Relaxes adrenals, relieves stress
Improves sleep
Helps with deep and balanced breathing
Stimulates the body’s own healing process
Helps with healing strained muscles, tendons and ligaments
Increases bone density

Creates positivity

Shamanism

The new Shamanism as we know it today originates from Russia, from as long as 40,000 years ago. Research has found that shamanism is the oldest healing method used possibly originating from a time a lot older. Shaman means ‘the one who knows’.

Healers using shamanism do not call themselves ‘Shamans’, that authority lies with the community, they are called ‘Shaman Practitioners’.

Shaman Practitioners go on ‘journeys’ and connect with transcended, enlightened, compassionate, loving, wise, all knowing but not all powerful spirits.

What is Shamanic healing good for?
Shamanism is excellent for healing all body, mind, spirit and soul areas. It can be especially good for solving a particular problem or question you may have relating to anything. It can help you to reconnect with your power animal providing missing elements in your life.

How does Shamanic healing work?
You lie down and relax. As the spiritual mentor, the shamanic practitioner goes on a spiritual journey and asks for guidance from the spirit world for your highest good to accommodate self-healing or get answers to your question and empower personal growth. The practitioner then provide you with the exact messages as they are given which you then interpret, as this is your message and shamanism allows you free spirit authority – you are your own authority.

Equine Assisted Therapy

Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT), also known as Equine Guided Learning, is a therapeutic programme that involves working with horses to learn about ourselves, our patterns of behaviour and to explore any challenges we may have.

Horses originated from the wild, where they lived in herds – tight knit family units, within which each horse had a distinct role. As animals of prey, they had to develop heightened skills to be able to read the body language and energies of other animals quickly, to determine whether they were friend or foe. There were no second chances – they had to get it right first time!

As humans, we too have this ability. We sometimes get a ‘gut feeling’ or a sense that something isn’t right, yet we don’t always act upon it. Often, we choose to disguise what we are really thinking or feeling from other people, believing that by dressing, acting or speaking in a certain way we can avoid revealing our true thoughts and emotions.

With horses, there’s no hiding. Horses have the ability to reflect to us our patterns of behaviour and to draw out exactly what we are thinking and feeling.

“You can fool people but you can’t fool horses.”

Why Choose Equine Assisted Therapy?

Whether you are an individual seeking to overcome relationship or confidence issues or a corporation needing to build a fantastic team with great leadership, we have the ideal programme for you.

We have the facilities to support challenging conditions, ranging from children with emotional difficulties to adults wanting addiction therapy.

You don’t need to have a problem to overcome and enjoy the therapy offered by horses. Many people experience the joy of self-discovery simply through our equine assisted personal development plans.

All our EAT facilitators are also trained life, business and NLP coaches. They have a wide range of tools which they integrate into the sessions. Through EAT a team can:

  • Discover any belief systems getting in the way of group cohesion
  • Develop a better understanding of one another
  • Develop empathy with co-workers.
  • Horses mirror personalities and behaviours and therefore expose the vulnerability of some members of the team. Individuals get drawn to the horse which they most need the learning from.
  • Develop understanding and learn that we all have different ways of doing things and how important it is to draw on these differences, rather than get everyone to conform to doing things one way.

Laughter Yoga

Laughter releases endorphins, giving us the ‘feel good factor’
Acts as aerobic exercise and is like ‘internal jogging’
Unleashes inhibitions, breaks down barriers
Great team building tool encourages better communication
Helps boost our immune system which helps us resist disease
Tones muscles, improves respiration and circulation
Encourages positive thinking and creativity
Relaxes the whole body by reducing stress and tension

A typical class or session will combine deep breathing techniques with gentle exercises inducing laughter.

You might at first fake it !!! but before you know it you will be joining in the fun. This is based on the principle that the brain cannot differentiate between what is real or imagined and we all know that Laughter is terribly contagious!!!

EFT

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is about returning the mind, body and feelings to a state of balance and harmony so you are not limited by negative emotions.
It is a method of emotional and neurological control based on acupressure and involves tapping on acupressure/acupuncture points. Since acupuncture meridians extend to the brain, tapping on these points allows brain function to be modified by releasing negative emotions and even ameliorating some neurological conditions.

Bowen Technique

The Bowen Technique is a gentle, hands-on remedial therapy suitable and effective for all muscular and skeletal problems. The technique consists of a sequence of very precise, gentle moves over muscles and connective tissue, interspersed with periods of rest in order to allow the body to absorb and respond to the treatment.

It encourages the body to re-balance and re-align itself, promotes healing, improves energy levels, reduces pain and is a relaxing and enjoyable therapy. It’s so gentle that babies and the elderly can benefit from it and all ages in between. Bowen can also help improve physical/sports performance and reduce stress and anxiety related conditions.

Meditation

Meditation is a part of many spiritual traditions. Time for silence and contemplation opens up a journey of self discovery and self mastery. There have been many scientific studies of meditation and of its benefits to people that practice it regularly. Some of the proven benefits are that:

  • It reduces stress levels
  • It boosts the immune system
  • It improves concentration
  • It lowers blood pressure
  • It reduces cholesterol levels
  • regular meditators make less Doctor and hospital visits

When you are calm and relaxed it is easier to meets life’s challenges. Like a musical instrument it takes practice to perfect meditation and to gain control over our “monkey mind”. A Buddhist monk described the human mind as leaping from thought to thought like a “drunken juvenile monkey that has been stung by a wasp”.

Beginners’ meditation classes will give you a range of techniques to use so that you can change the discordant chatter of the mind into quiet harmony.

Food Sensitivity Testing

Florence foodKinesiology can easily identify if a food or environmental substance is causing stress in your body, whether the external manifestation of this stress is bloating, constipation, digestive pains, fatigue, headaches, IBS, mood swings, skin rashes, sinusitis, wheezing, weight gain, or else.
The practitioner will apply a muscle testing technique and by testing different muscles that relate to the digestive organs he/she will pin point exactly where the stress is affecting you.

The sensitivity is then corrected by stimulating specific acupuncture points in conjunction with breathing rhythms.

Flower Essences

Flower Essences are prepared in a similar way to homeopathic remedies but are usually in liquid form. They are totally safe for everyone to use, either in conjunction with complementary therapies or with allopathic medicine. These essences are incredibly fast acting, producing powerful results- not just on a physical level, but also on emotional and spiritual levels. Working in a gentle and supportive way, flower essences can be wonderful catalysts for change.

Yoga

The word yoga describes a variety of Hindu practices developed in ancient India to unify body and mind with universal spirit, thereby encouraging physical and mental well-being.

The most important purpose of yoga is to bring about deep transformation of the individual – an awakening of intelligence that is free of dependencies and romantic beliefs and ready to meet the accelerating challenges of the twenty first century. “Ganga White”

Yoga builds up our energy reserves and can strengthen and awaken as well as relax and centre us.

Yoga postures (asanas) are designed to improve metabolism, digestion, elimination, circulation and the functioning of the glands and nervous system. By working through the muscles, nerves and the breath, we can fine tune our energy and develop a healthy sensitivity to ourselves and the environment.

With regular practice, physical and mental self-mastery can be attained, thereby becoming more self-reliant and self-confident, more at peace with yourself and the world.

Diet is also considered important to this discipline. Yoga increases flexibility, improves muscle tone, and is helpful in the reduction of stress.
