Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a very effective method to reduce stress and anxiety. Through it, any feeling of pain or other adverse effect of an illness can be decreased and even eradicated. Most of us have monkey minds, jumping from one thought or subject to the next and causing stress and a waste of energy. In addition our mind can add to our original negative emotional and/or physical experiences (stress, pain, fear).

Mindfulness means being in the moment, being with what is. It enables us to face our daily experiences and our adversities with awareness. When we can see these adversities clearly for what they are, we can learn to accept them. In time, either it turns out that we had mistakenly taken the rope for a snake, or we can turn a stumbling block into a stepping stone. Either way our lives will be enriched and more fulfilling.
